Inspired by all the bluebells woods I have ever visited. The original was painted with acrylic paints and inks onto CS10 art board, which was a lovely smooth surface to work on, but is now sadly unavailable.
If you look around this painting, you may well find an owl, a toad, a few rabbits and some blue pixies amongst the bluebells

A painting I did especially for a compendium book of my paintings, "Only Visiting This Planet". SF author Arthur C Clarke kindly wrote the foreword for my book.
I was flattered to hear that this was one of Mr Clarke's favourite paintings of mine. He was apparently intrigued as to whether it was a small bird with a tiny minnow-sized whale, or the bird and the whale are both enormous...

A recently painted view of a typical bluebell wood pathway... with a tawny owl, a toad, a couple of rabbits and several blue pixies hidden amongst the bluebells, and there's even someone's lost key
The original was painted onto CS10 art board using acrylic paints. I still have the original.
