UFO - Enemy Unknown Limited Edition Print... from an original painting (acrylic inks on CS10 art board).
Each print is signed and numbered, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The print is A3 image size, with a white bleed area for signature and title... from a run of 25 prints only
When I was asked to do the artwork for this game, I had no idea that it was about to become a major game of its time. I was only given a few crude stills from the game to work on ideas.
Once I had the idea of floating bug-eyed aliens emerging from a ship, I needed a "soldier" in the foreground... so I asked my neighbour, who was a farmer, to imagine shooting at the aliens heading towards us. He used a broomstick as the rifle!
Does anyone know who has the artwork? Back in the mid 90's I was working at EA Games. One of my colleagues, a massive fan of the game, had the artwork on his studio wall. Around the time I left, sadly the original painting went missing - and I still don't know to this day what happened to it...
